Projects

Below are the projects I have successfully completed, gaining valuable hands-on experience throughout my studies at DeVry University.

01

Linux Operating System

This PowerPoint presentation shows examples on how to manage files/directories, network configuration, user/group management and more using the Linux operating system.

02

Automated Smart Home Security System

This PowerPoint presentation shows how to build a smart home security system and program it.

03

2 Way Traffic Light Controller

In this project I will be building and prototype of a two-way traffic light controller with pedestrian crossing, an emergency signal, and motion sensor.

04

Programming with Data (Python)

In this project, temperature and humidity data are being collected by means of a cloud-based system. Data is then analyzed using Python programming and data analytics techniques to make sense of the data.

05

NETW191

This project shows how to assign an IPv4 address to the SOHO router, check connectivity, assigning subnets, create Loopback interfaces on the SOHO router, and use Microsoft Visio to create a network diagram.

06

Cloud Computing

In this Azure project, we'll cover VM deployment, configuration, and secure connections via RDP and SSH. We'll also establish secure network environments with VNets, subnets, and NSGs, explore Blob Storage for data storage, and set up Azure Monitor for robust monitoring. This journey offers a deep dive into Azure's core services, enhancing practical skills in cloud environment management.

07

Applied Physics with  Labs

Avenir In this project, I employ advanced electronic devices to explore fundamental physics principles, such as using an ultrasonic sensor for distance measurement and investigating free-falling object acceleration. I then analyze the Conservation of Energy, delve into circular motion using a rotary encoder, and explore the Hall effect with the ESP32 microprocessor to deepen our understanding of motion, energy transformation, and electromagnetism.

08

Fundamentals of Information Systems Security

This project covers key aspects of information security, including encryption, stateful firewalls, and vulnerability assessments, with practical demonstrations and detailed analysis. The project emphasizes safeguarding data confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) through measures like BYOD security policies and multifactor authentication. It also highlights the importance of a multi-layered security approach to mitigate risks and enhance the security posture of computing environments.

09

Fundamentals of Infrastructure Security

This project emphasizes hands-on experience in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, analyzing network traffic, and securing systems. It also highlights the development of essential cybersecurity skills such as vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection, and incident response. The presentation concludes with reflections on the importance of a layered security approach and the ongoing need for practice and improvement in the field.
